Falls. Still looks like they might have cracked a flue or something like it as they dropped the fire from the ngine here. Notice the treated water streaks in front of the cab on the boiler. Just a guess. But later that evening the steam crew was out there working inside of the firebox. Banging away at something and using a torch or welder in there. After they came out of the firebox, the engine was fired up again.

And I hadn't even noticed Doyle's T-shirt message till I looked closely at the slide after processing and cracked up. (Of course, I was a little cracked to begin with.)

The newest train crew member is Ed Dickens who often fires and engineers. Ed also runs the "Rio Golden" narrow gauge railroad at Heritage Square in Golden, CO. |
