Steam & Excursion > Santa Fe #3751 to return to San Diego

I was told that in May or June of 2009, Santa Fe #3751 will be returning to San Diego. I have not been told the exact dates of
the trip.

Already happened in September of 2008.

What for and where in San Diego???..Every time I hear of a locomotive move, i get scared! Usually means "stuffed & mounted".

I just got my newsletter from SBRHS, it states that they are working on another excursion for 2009 to San Diego. No date is set yet. I was not able to attend the last two, perhaps third time is the charm!

ATSF 3751 running live from LA to San Diego via the Former Santa Fe Surfline, on the point of an excursion train... Made the same run twice this past year, once with 9 Amtrak cars and a PV, once with 26 private cars (AAPRCO convention), both times assisted by Amtrak Diesel.
