Bob Callahan Monticello, IN Date: 06/05/11 18:25 Re: NJLS Author: birdman I'm sorry that I do not have any other photos of the Erie Berkshire. That particular locomotive was one inch to the foot scale.
Date: 06/05/11 20:01 Re: NJLS Author: lwilton What's the difference between gauge 1 and 1" scale?
Date: 06/06/11 03:23 Re: NJLS Author: birdman Gauge 1 is scale 1:32 which is approximately 3/8 inch to the foot and runs on 45mm or 1 and 3/4 inch gauge track. It is the same track used in garden railways by people who run trains made by LGB, Aristocraft, USA trains, etc. The Southern Pacific cab-forward and the narrow gauge engines shown in the photos are gauge 1 and they are live steam burning butane for fuel. The cab forward ran for almost an hour on a single charge of butane and pulled about 25 cars. One inch scale trains are 1/12th actual size and run on a track gauge of 4.75 inches.
