Which engine #4 is this, and where?
Author: scottp

Just for amusement...
I've received a couple of emails promoting a bus trip to the Fillmore & Western. Someone is utilizing whatever steam engine photo is handy... in the first case, Santa Fe 3415 running at Abilene, Kansas.
The second message has this photo-- I guess I should recognize it, but I don't.

That appears to be Laona & Northern 2-6-2 #4 in Wisconsin.

It is Laona & Northern 4, and the photo was taken from the Connor Farm Road grade crossing near Camp Five. I just wrote a little book about the railroad that they're going to have on sale this year. The attached photo was taken at roughly the same spot last summer.

Glad to see the No. 4 is still running. Here is a photo I took a long time ago.
