Steam & Excursion > 3751 in Arizona

We are planning to be in the Williams area when the 3751 arrives. Does anyone have any hints about access from Drake, through Ash Fork, and into to Williams? Also, up to the Canyon?
Yeah, I know. Some would say "I should have bought a ticket and supported the trip." However, we had reservations to ride behind the 463 on the C&TS at the same time. This trip was postponed until late June, and we retained our reservations. That took care of the ticket budget.
Any help would be appreciated.

Could be the same for the Peavine, since my buddy Ted and I checked that out back in Febuary, and there's a lot of isolated areas and 2 long dirt roads that'll be very challenging!
