Author: 3rdswitch . . today UP 844 ran north from Pueblo to Denver, CO on the Joint BNSF-UP Joint Line main. A couple along the way a mile south of Palmer Lake, CO (top) and approaching Larkspur, CO (bottom) on another beautiful day in the neighborhood.

As it turns out, the train came to a stop in Castle Rock for over 30 minutes, allowing me ample time to drive from Larkspur to Castle Rock and see the train again, attaching 2 images, 1 passing through downtown Castle Rock with CRFD Chief Morales (in blue shirt) waving to the train and other CRFD personnel watching, and a fall away with Castle Rock's name sake rock in the background. Update - Added the telephoto shot at Larkspur, we both shot the train at this location! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/08/12 07:21 by skyview. Author: skyview Whats interesting in comparing the 2 images, besides color balance being slightly different, is you were able to have the branches sharp on the right side using the telephoto (wouldnt expect any issues 50mm or wide angle keeping them sharp), I doubt my 70-200mm shot at nearly 200mm f8-11 would have those branches sharp.
