I remember the ash pit incident like it was yesterday. I was firing 60 that day. I believe the ash pit is no longer there.

Then seeing Frank put up the no diving sign the next day.

Why is the number plate on the smoke box done in black for #60 where
as it is red on #90?

Not that the paint scheme is currently authentic for #60, rather
inspired, but the red I think would be more appealing. Was there
a specific reason or was it simply a cosmetic idea - perhaps working
along the lines of it's owner - BLACK River and Western?
