Ok, this is what they would have looked like if they were converted to cab-forward operation!

This view shows former Unintah/SVRY #250 at the end of her life in Guatemala along with the boiler from sister engine #251. The cab of #250 was placed over the smokebox of the famous articulated so that one of the "locals" could actually live in the smokebox.

Unfortunately thees fine engines were cut up soon after this photo was taken. The tenders were saved and have bee returned to Oregon for service on the Sumpter Valley Restoration.
