Steam & Excursion > Niles Canyon Railway Big Steam Event

On Saturday and Sunday, April 6 & 7, 2013 the Niles Canyon Railway will be operating both Quincy Railroad Company #2 (1924 ALCO 2-6-2T) and recently restored Clover Valley Lumber Company #4 (1924 Baldwin 2-6-6-2T) for the public. This will be the first time the locomotives have operated together since the early 1980's at the Castro Point Railway in Richmond, CA.

Both locomotives will be pulling separate passenger trains. On our website, ncry.org, the schedule might seem a little confusing. Quincy #2 will be operating on the "diesel trains" schedule and Clover Valley #4 on the "steam train" schedule.

Come out and enjoy this rare event!

Steve, you and I both! It would be a perfect time of year to go there, and both engines running would be a real treat. If somebody reading this is going, please post some photos.
