Steam & Excursion > 100% Authentic, Accurate SteamDate: 05/22/13 17:24 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: nathansixchime My lord, it's a miracle.
None of that 21st Century nonsense. KL Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 05/22/13 17:44 by nathansixchime. Date: 05/22/13 17:26 Re: 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: Txhighballer Powerful statement, Nathan....

I'd MUCH rather hope to be seeing her this weekend on the mountain. I'll take diesels, "wrong" number boards, or any paint job anybody plans to put on her. bit further back. /Mitch Date: 05/22/13 19:39 Re: 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: RuleG "Hey, look! Historically accurate, authentic lettering and weathering, no diesel behind! Just as the railroad intended."
No need to wait. That would pretty much describe Cumbres & Toltec's recently restored #463 as shown in the photos incorporated into this thread. http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?10,3080236 Edited 1 time(s). Date: 05/23/13 06:28 Re: 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: Hillcrest Well for starters, where's the gyro-light? The lettering looks like it's in the wrong font and that clutter where you spotted it is obscuring my shot of the running gear....
Cheers, Dave Date: 05/23/13 11:10 Re: 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: Labby Are they still excavating parts from that bone yard? Great to know the engine was saved. Hope the show goes on for ever!
Date: 05/23/13 13:06 Re: 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: junctiontower Just for the sake of total honesty, I pretty sure the loco pictured is actually #767 which swapped identities with #765 before #765 became a park engine and #767 became razor blades. Kelly's point is still totally valid though.

It's worth seeing that the railroad did go to the lengths to renumber 767 to second 765, which means the number swap was denoted on the company books. We had a gentlemen years ago who accused us of trying to fool people into thinking it was the 765, as he had seen the 765 scrapped. As far as the Nickel Plate was concerned, it was. A chilling image nonetheless. Thanks. KL Date: 05/23/13 14:05 Re: 100% Authentic, Accurate Steam Author: march_hare RuleG Wrote:

I want historically accurate broken rails, derailments, etc. |
