Do you miss the Virginia & Truckee?

The Central Coast Railway Club and Trains and Travel can help you with that come this October 12 through 14, 2013.

Golden State Rails Historic Train Excursions is pleased to announce the Virginia & Truckee Explorer, 3-day excursion between the Bay Area and Virginia City, Nevada, utilizing a chartered V&T excursion train.

We have a trip option for those who wish to travel by luxury railcar, standard Amtrak coach on the CZ - or if you wish to drive to the event, we have package options for that too which include hotel space.

This should be a very exciting trip, and not just because we have chartered V&T train. If you’ve ever wanted to ride former CZ cars Silver Solarium and Silver Lariat over Donner Pass, this trip is for you. If you prefer to ride Amtrak Superliner coach over Donner Pass with a connection to the V&T, this trip is for you. And if you wish to drive your vehicles to ride a private chartered V&T train, this trip is for you too!
