Lots of end of year news and activities at our 2926 location, but for the next month as a one-handed typist, I will be providing mainly links and a few photos.

For members the annual safety refresher training will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 8 am to 12 noon at the Local 412 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Hall in Albuquerque, NM. This 2017 training session will again be presented by Mr. Warren Scholl, formerly of the BNSF Training center in Overland Park, Kansas and a NMSL&RHS member. The focus of this training session will be on “Blue Flag Rules” plus additional safety items. Other details and driving directions can be found at our home page and alternate:

Photos:
1. Tested superheater bundles are now out of the way to allow access to the next group in the container box to be tested.
2. Our engine mover "Lurch" receives a new hydraulic strut. All four are being replaced.
3. Our gal is all decked out for Christmas visitors. Luminarias, a southwest tradition, light the way. More than 300 visited Christmas Eve.

I haven't been in the sawmill in long while, but I'm glad ya'll are progressing. Long live the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe!
