Steam & Excursion > Pennsy T-1 Asthetics QuestionDate: 03/12/17 05:43 Pennsy T-1 Asthetics Question Author: apollo17 I noticed in some photos I saw recently of the T1's that one was what I would call "stream lined" while another was with the front ladders connecting to the cat walks on the side of the boiler and without the skirts. Does anyone know which way the new 5550 T-1 will appear?

Along with safety concerns, all such decisions are subject to due diligence considerations, and related engineering committee concerns. We have the capacity to build the engine as it makes sense, and incorporate changes as they add to the safe and economic operation. Be patient and contribute towards achieving our goals. This stuff is minor considering the wall of funding needs that we currently face. First things, first. W. |
