Steam & Excursion > Here Is One Last Blast Of Steam In Winter A Day Before Spring!Date: 03/19/17 02:55 Here Is One Last Blast Of Steam In Winter A Day Before Spring! Author: LoggerHogger Many of us have suffered through what we believe was one of the longest and worst winters in many years here in the Pacific Northwest. In honor of the first day of spring arriving tomorrow which means today is the last day of winter, here is a final photo of Steam in winter to enjoy.
Built in February 1937 as part of Southern Pacific's AC-7 Class of Cab-Forward engines #4159 was captured on Donner Pass early in here operating career by the SP company photographer in this dramatic winter image. The cold mountain air catches the exhaust of this steam powered beast giving testament to steam railroading in the winter. Let's say a fond goodbye to old man winter. Martin Edited 3 time(s).
