It was one of the reasons Mr. Young approved the 4014 project. Of coarse he is no longer with us.

No way DL can run 3 at the same time. Besides, he is in the process of "harvesting organs" from 3985 to make sure it never runs again.

Thanks for the humor, artwork, and the sleeping cat.

I seized the moment, so I caught the 3985 running twice, and the 844 numerous times, including on a doubleheader with the 4449. No regrets.

No anxiety over the 4014 here. I saw it in Pomona, I saw it being towed, and I might worry about it in 2019, depending on what happens. Its fate is beyond my control.

Rather than a tripleheader, I always envisioned running 844, 3985, and 4014 side by side on the triple track between Gibbon and North Platte. Every railfan in the world would show up for that one.  We can all dream, can't we?  BSB
