Steam & Excursion > UP 3985 5-29-1993 Northbound, Cutler Dam, Utah

Figured now is as good time as any, to post footage I captured of 3985, 1993 Idaho, from the beginning of my VHS archives of this trip. I kind of jumped ahead about a month ago, and posted UP 3985 5-29-1993 Arimo,Idaho Runby!, but there's lots more before and after that footage, just got finished tonight processing 3/4s of it all. But here is the first clip from that 1993 Idaho Trip, On a Bright Spring day, with bright green/yellow grass and plants growing between the jagged rocks, and local critters chirping, as 3985 crosses bridge above the power station, and goes into tunnel, Hope you like!

And that was my best friend Lynn firing on this segment.
When it was just the three of us operating the locomotive Lynn would fire for Steve in the morning and I would drive the company suburban and then Lynn and I would swap at the servicing location. Then later in the program I would get a guest fireman and I would run the second half for Steve as well.
Lynn didn't handle the afternoon heat very well and so that was why he got the first half of the firing on my insistence.

Kind of tricky to get to, but an important mainline on UP route, between Salt Lake City,Utah and Pocatato,(Pocatello) Idaho! It's along the Bear River,But not sure if it's Bear River Canyon or not. Bear River runs a long way, Maybe another TO member can clarify that? But here's map of general location for ya dougd.
