UP 844 passed through Uintah, UT, at 0845 today, headed east, on track number 1. Lots of spectators. The special is headed to Rock Springs, WY, today.

Great video Lee. I wasn't too far away from you, but I was standing by the wrong track, ugh! There were tons of people out today, but it all seemed to work out ok.

Thanks for posting this video, Lee. After the steam train passed, the young boy (he looks about 6 years old, and he is with 2 young teenage girls, and probably their father) that exclaims excitedly "Wow!!!" - I know that feeling as I was almost his age when I witnessed the SP Coast Daylight being pulled by a Daylight-painted GS-4 at Atherton. The consist roared by at about 60 mph and I remember feeling the ground rumble and I too shouted to my rail fan father: "Wow!!!". The experience left an indelible memory... the young boy in this video will always remember how the ground rumbles.
