NdeM 3031 Takes a Spin On a Turntable

A really nice sequence from Roger Puta.

1. NdeM turntable, Valle Yards, Mexico City on September 10, 1966

2. NdeM 4-8-4 Niagra 3031 backing on to the turntable.

3. Turned.

4. Pulling off the turntable.

I see a bit of a Niagara, 844 and the Nashville 4-8-4 in this locomotive. Great photos. Are they Alco's?

Mike, yes they were Alco, built in 1946 as were the NYCentral Niagaras. Not sure, but that might be why N de M called theirs Niagras.
