Date: 04/27/17 23:49 Re: Snow Flurries Greet 844 at Green River Author: Odyssey The 844 Boise Turn Special was a great run ... I followed/imaged it from Cheyenne to Boise and back to Nampa where I did have to break off the "chase". The UP made lots of points at all of the stops in small town America/Fly-Over Country where the turnout was amazing to greet the 844. Any TrainOrders member knows the divisive nature of posting anything related to the 844 or to the steam shop crew or past crews ... lets all take a moment and think about the fact that the 844 did make another successful steam run ... let's celebrate the locomotive and ITS accomplishments ... and pay less attention to the political trivia ...

Very few of us have started a new job and made no mistakes learning it. Like what was said, let's just watch 844 run and enjoy it.
Just my 2 cents, Wes Wes Chiles Topeka, KS Date: 04/28/17 05:49 Re: Snow Flurries Greet 844 at Green River Author: MaryMcPherson Jokes about personally aside.....
We had a great time with #844 last fall when she came through our area on her Memphis turn. Any time an engine is hot is something to celebrate, and even more so on the mainline. It really sparks people's interest in steam/preservation in general, and in UP's in particular.
Looking forward to following the progress on 4014, too. Thanks .... Date: 04/28/17 09:07 Re: Snow Flurries Greet 844 at Green River Author: LocoPilot750 If he'd chrome plate the hand rails, they wouldn't show scratches like those in the photo.

I bet he gets razzed about that all the time?....Anyway Does anyone have a not-so-close up picture, or video, of the 844 and train in this snow flurry?
