It teaches them the importance of knowing some of the history of what makes our country. Thank you to the Teachers.

At the city park next to the tracks the school kids had assembled to watch the train go through town. They were singing songs when the whistle caught their attention. Seconds later the locomotive burst out from behind some parked grain cars doing around 65 miles per hour. As fast as it appeared, it was gone. There was a moment of stunned silence amomg the group, then they started cheering as if the Huskers had scored a touchdown. It was awesome.
