Last night the Abilene Smoky Valley Railroad had their grand opening of the Fred Schmidt railroad museum in their depot and their Santa Fe 3415 locomotive was present. It will also make an appearance during testing and crew training Friday and Saturday this weekend. It will be pulling the passenger train Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial day weekend.

It was announced on the railroad's Facebook page. The museum will be open to the public during all railroad passenger operations. The 3415 steam locomotive operates on holiday weekends during the summer in addition to a few other times. This info can be found on their website and Facebook page.
