Just came back from hearing Mr. Dickens's presentation at the Depot. After he spoke, the Museum's Director expressed hope that the Steam Shop tour would take place on Sunday. I've been informed that a great deal of flooding has occurred and that caused the cancellation. I sure hope the stars align making a tour on Sunday possible. The tour was the primary reason I journeyed out here from Upstate NY.

I'll write a post about tonight's presentation later.

The parking lot at the train show is almost completely melted tonight so the Lion's club minitrain should be able to run.
I believe the Cheyenne Steamers have cancelled due to the snow on their trackage but watch for more news from them as well.
Temps are supposed to be in the 50's the rest of the weekend.
Come on out and enjoy the model train show and Depot Days. The trolleys will run between our show and the Depot.

I live in a place where last frost is advertised as about the Memorial Day weekend. We have been having summertime weather this last week.

The UP Steam Shop will be open on Sunday. The website was updated to say: "There will be access to the shop on Sunday." The website is at: https://www.cheyennedepotmuseum.org/depot-days

. . . or to quote Ed Grimly, "We're as doomed as doomed can be, I must say!"
