Steam & Excursion > NKP 765 races east with the 'Joliet Rocket'

My favorite runby from this past weekend: 765 rips through Mokena, IL with the Sunday morning "Joliet Rocket" excursion. We're just east of town, and 765 is picking up speed after cresting Mokena Hill. Thanks to the FWRHS, Metra, and all those who helped make these trips a success. I rode the Saturday afternoon trip and had a great time.

Well, this pretty well cements it for me, especially since I was watching from the small commuter station, west of your location. My personal choice for best visual and sonic video of 765 so far. Especially since the Fireman FINALLY got things under control!

And to think I lived in Mokena along with the Nystrom's when I was working on the Rock.
There is a nice hill between New Lenox up thru Mokena where it begins to level off.
