NKP Berkshire 756
Author: superchief1944

I own a large original Ted Rose water-color painting of NKP Berkshire 756 at full-stride. The painting is titled "Hot Shot". Does anyone have access to photos of the 756 in service? I'd like to have a couple of action photos to keep with the painting for reference.

Also, if anyone has the "birth and death dates" of the 756 - or any other relevant information - I'd like to have it.

Thanks a lot all.....

In Kevin Holland's book "Berkshires of the Nickel Plate Road" there is a photo of 756 on page 59, but it is a going away shot from quite a distance. That book has what I believe to be a reproduction of your Ted Rose painting of 756 on pages 118-119. A great painting.

There is a color photo of the 756, fireman's side, going thru Continental, Ohio, westbound, in 1957, in the Member's Area of the NKPHTS web pages. It's part of the Howard Ameling collection.
