At the prices they got for the trip, they should have painted all the cars to match.

It's 2017 the prices they charged reflect the cost of the trip and a percentage on top for the group and actually everyone involved (Amtrak, BNSF, & Private Car Owners) to make a VERY small if at all profit.

The industry is changing everyday and so are the prices...it is not like the 70's 80's or 90's anymore...

Looks like Doyle is going to make up for the delay in departure time. Wes, both Jack W and Pat Tracy really know how to fire that locomotive, and there is a lot of communication between engineer and fireman.

Translation: You have no idea of all the costs involved to put on a trip like this TODAY!

I'd love to know the story behind that whistle; who made it? It sounds like the model I.C. bought and then duplicated, blown at slightly higher pressure. It hits a different chord than the Hancock whistles on 611 and the U.P. engines, and especially when he let the whistle train off I could hear the same notes the I.C. whistles hit. Sweet music!

Nice video as well!

Nice video and the whistle isn't bad at all, at least it was a big improvement over the one they used in 89, I'd love to know how the hell they got that one!
