I have a lot of house chores but hope to get over to the route later this afternoon to try and see and photograph.

I noticed yesterday that the number boards read 925 and not 4449. Do you know why that is?

While I don't know if this is the correct answer I strongly suspect "925" was probably a scheduled train that operated to Bend a very long time ago. Doyle and crew have often placed old train numbers in the number boards like this.

I know in the past that has been the work of 4449 Fireman "HotWater"...

I think that was the Amtrak Train number they ran as

4449 is rolling north out of Bend as of 928 am.

The amtrak power is on the tail end of the train but that will change in Redmond when they wye the train.

Nomosantafe ... you are correct. I confirmed via Twitter with ORHF that 925 is the Amtrak assigned train number for this trip.

OK, what is the consist of the passenger cars.

Train wyed, reassembled and underway from Prineville Junction at 11:05.

No runbys on this trip due to time constraints. I was still very pleased to be on this trip even without the runby at Crooked River. I was on the Bend trip in 2012 also.
