Steam & Excursion > N&W 611 videos on May 28th-29th

Getting a chance to share my videos of the N&W 611 trips over Memorial Day weekend. Onto the videos...

1. The N&W 611 on Sunday morning passing through Webster, VA as it heads east. I was at the same spot for last year's trip and the signal were still the old N&W ones.
2. The N&W 611 and the morning trip returning to Roanoke
3. The N&W 611 with the afternoon trip passing through Christiansburg. (Disclosure the gentleman next to me had his arms appear in my video for a few seconds.) Where I was, it did get crowded as the train approached. There were less people along the station area compared to last year.

I will have a few more to follow these three.

4. The afternoon trip returning to Roanoake
5. Since Monday morning's excursion was a westbound one to Radford, the engine had to be wyed. After shoving back to clear a switch, the train proceeds.

Last one of the N&W 611.

6. The last video is perhaps my favorite of the group based on the sound of the train. This is the westbound leg of the Radford trip on Monday morning at Shawsville. The clouds didn't cooperate much, but am still happy with the sound of the train echoing through the valley.
