Denver Post 2017
Author: Bob3985

This morning the 844 heads south with the deadhead move to stage for this Saturday's Denver Post Charities trip to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Events. They return Sunday with a dead head move northbound. Looking forward to hear the ole gal stretch her legs again.

Wonder how well the Diesel MU Control Box in the cab of 844 will work with THAT?

Yet another brilliant idea.

Yank out and destroy an M/U box that had been 100% reliable since it was installed, and replace it with a fancier box that has not worked right since it was installed.

Because it's not a shiny new toy.

844 had the 9010 by me this morning at Speer. In fact for the hour and a half I was there there was a Northbound freight from Denver, a westbound freight headed up 3 track, a southbound freight about 20 minutes before 844 came by headed south.

And none of the current employees on the steam crew know anything about a DDA40X.

Yes, I understand that. Since I don't know Denver all that well, could someone help with directions? Thank you.
