That is sooooo cool!! I had no idea that the
Ffestiniog and a standard-gauge steam railroad
shared a station. Those are great photos.

There is a similar situation up in Mecklenburg Germany where the narrow Gauge "Molly" railroad shares a station with DB. I rode their train in 2002.
They run a daily schedule that meets the DB at the main station at Bad Doberon and operates to Kühlingsborn. They had 0-10-0 tank locomotives.
Some day I will need to scan all my slides from that trip to Germany and post a few.

Yes, not to mention that heavy rail, just like the standard gauge main line!

You guys are all over it when you talk about the 2 foot gauge track on the Ffestiniog. It is the most PERFECT track I have ever seen. It's stupid perfect over the entire line. I actually did manage to find ONE, just ONE LOCATION on the railway that had ONE slight rail joint kink, and about fell out of my chair!
