Ffestiniog and a standard-gauge steam railroad shared a station. Those are great photos. Thanks so much for this neat info!! Date: 08/17/17 12:09 Re: A Study in Gauge and Scale! Author: Bob3985 There is a similar situation up in Mecklenburg Germany where the narrow Gauge "Molly" railroad shares a station with DB. I rode their train in 2002.
They run a daily schedule that meets the DB at the main station at Bad Doberon and operates to Kühlingsborn. They had 0-10-0 tank locomotives. Some day I will need to scan all my slides from that trip to Germany and post a few. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/17/17 12:13 by Bob3985. Yes, not to mention that heavy rail, just like the standard gauge main line! Date: 08/17/17 15:27 Re: A Study in Gauge and Scale! Author: OKTrainboys You guys are all over it when you talk about the 2 foot gauge track on the Ffestiniog. It is the most PERFECT track I have ever seen. It's stupid perfect over the entire line. I actually did manage to find ONE, just ONE LOCATION on the railway that had ONE slight rail joint kink, and about fell out of my chair!
