Steam & Excursion > Soo 1003 from Fox Lake to Milton

A buddy and I followed Soo 1003 from Fox Lake, IL to Milton, WI last weekend is it returned from its trip to Chicago.
1. Our first shot was from the back side of the American Legion post in Fox Lake, IL. Soo 1003 is crossing the channel between Nippersink Lake and Pistakee Lake.
2. The 1003 stopped for a while east of the Co. Hwy C bridge near Darien WI to let a WSOR local clear its warrant at Avalon, WI
3. After setting out three WSOR covered hoppers, the 1003 starts east out of the WSOR in Janesville.

4. The 1003 has its short train rolling along just south of Milton WI
5. After a stop for coal and water, the 1003 traverses the southeast leg of the wye at Milton
6. At Milton, WSOR 3895 was added to the train so that it could travel over the the CN between Waukesha and Slinger, WI
