photo of a very impressive steam locomotive! The first photo is very, very impressive and also beautiful -- it shows the 765's magnificence and great lines. And the beautiful trees all around her are the perfect setting for her thee. Soooo beautiful. Your second shot is absolutely perfect!! This locomotive in a gorgeous and natural setting. Man --\ that is one incredible and gorgeous photo! I love the third photo, too -- the 765 in the beautiful sunlight, with the beautiful greenery all around. ALL three photos are super, but my favorite is the' second one. ALL are IOTD candidates, but I would give the honor to #2. You, sir, did very, very well! Thank you very much for these three gems. Wow...... Date: 09/16/17 04:27 Re: Steam is Back in the Cuyahoga Valley Author: KimHeusel Congrats on IOTD. Great shot but all three are wonderful.

Bob Date: 09/17/17 01:37 Re: Steam is Back in the Cuyahoga Valley Author: DaveGreenKs I'm new here on trainorders, joined yesterday, and I love steam locomotives. A very nice photo display, sharp clear images, excellent job. I'd like to ask, is that locomotive a recent restoration? Just curious, I hear about many steam locomotive restorations across the US, so glad they're coming back.
Date: 09/17/17 04:22 Re: Steam is Back in the Cuyahoga Valley Author: SDP40F600 Thanks to everyone for the compliments about my photographs. They are much appreciated. The NKP 765 has been restored to operating condition after years of sitting on static display in a park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. However, it is not of recent restoration, only the customary maintenance work.

The 765 is a veteran of many trips and has been restored many years ago....the star of many trips around the USA., but based in Ohio. [ Correction... 765 is BASED in Fort Wayne, Indiana... Travels to Ohio often, but it's not her "home" ---- sorry for the bad info...W, ] 765 was restored by a very well organized, largely volunteer group, of dedicated workers and fans. I invite you to learn more and to join their group. You'll gradually learn more about the owners and their excellent reputation.. Again, Welcome !!! ---- ask all the questions you need,---- many of our folks have been thinking similar thoughts, but often never dared to ask.... Most responses will be very honest in helping. We ALL started from where you're at.... and we're all novices at some aspect of loco restoration and operations. Collectively, we have lots of experiences; but, few 'experts'.....there are so many variants of steam locos, that there are always some aspects of locos that are 'new' to someone, every day. We are a 'continuous learning pool' of interested 'beginners' and always curious about new ways of appreciating the iron steeds among us. I'm so glad you decided to join-in. Wes Camp.
