I vote for #2 but with about 1 inch cropped off the right side to have the train more centered.

#2. cropped slightly from the right edge.

And if you photoshopped that tall weed out from in front of the engine, that would help. Not necessary, though. Nice lighting, the scene really pops.

Seems to draw the viewer into the scene....
Loco angle attracts the eye to the adventure. Beautiful color composition.

Is the final going to be
a 'vertical' poster?
Might go well with cropping comments, above?

I'm not a photo artist, I used to 'shoot' a lot, but after picking up the tools and getting dirty, i had lots more fun... I thoroughly enjoy seeing pics of our past adventures --- as captured by others...

Same thoughts still valid today..
