Sweet! I wish that I had the time to make it over there. Sigh...

The picture looking inside the 401 is great.

With the exception of the pickup truck on the far left, the first shot could have been taken in 1950-something. WOW!

Well done, all the shots are fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

The wigwag is a bit out of place but the period scene at the crossing was pretty nice.

This whole series on the 18 and her return to Laws has been great. Thanks to all of you for sharing with us. Made me wish I still lived in California (just for this) and as I have said in past posts how many times I drove past her when she was sitting idle and cold in Independence. Super job by the many folks involved in her restoration to operation.

Thanks, everyone.
This event was a real pixel-burner!  I'll post some more of these in a day or two, in the meanwhile I've got another story to tell over on the history page:  Necrophoamin the SPNG over Montgomery Pass.
Again-  Thanks!

Wigwags date from 1920 or so.

Technically true, but I agree with Out- it struck me as out of place on the SPNG.
Anyone have any idea if there was a "wag" anywhere on the line?
