Steam & Excursion > Unloading the Saginaw #2 at the OCSR

Here is a video of unloading the Saginaw #2 at the blimp hangar in Tillamook Oregon for the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. The locomotive arrived in Tillamook Monday (10/16) and was unloaded in about 3 hours.

Nice video of our unload. The video made it look so easy. We are sure glad it wasn't raining.

Are there plans to add more indoor locomotive storage space at the OCS' main depot and engine shed in Garibaldi, or will they continue to use the blimp hangar and former AFB yards in Tillamook as overflow?

Last time I dropped in the shed in Garabaldi was packed full (Heisler #2, Skookum, McCloud 25 and a boiler from another locomotive) and the hangar had another Heisler in it, plus the other unrestored engines in the adjacent yard.

Just curious. Seems the collection is growing.

Shades of the Lone Ranger, eh Luke? We did this about a hundred times moving all the rail equipment from location to location.
