Steam & Excursion > Southern Railway duplexesDate: 11/15/17 12:52 Southern Railway duplexes Author: LTCerny On page 570 on the October 1917 issue of Popular Science Monthly which can be located in the Popular Science Google Books website, there is an article on the Southern Railways tender duplexes, where the tender had a full mechanism (piston, side rods, drivers, etc) beneath it. I have seen photos of 2-8-2+2-8-0 and 2-10-2+2-6-2 versions.
