If the family has brains they will keep it together and turn it into a tourist attraction that they can charge to see!

He started out running a hobby shop in Dallas and ended up an oil man like JR Ewing but with a big heart. The layout was donated to the rail museum in Frisco Texas. See my story summary on the model railroading forum.

Glad he enjoyed his money the way he chose. I understand the cost of model railroading, it can be expensive or not depending on what one chooses to do. Being a member of Train Mountain and knowing how much was put into it,wow.

That's what his widow said too. She didn't have any problem with the cost as he worked hard, provided for his family and deserved to enjoy this as his reward. Sadly, he only had a couple of months to do so before cancer overtook him.
