I recorded got a sequence in Dismal Hollow (Manassas-Front Royal line )where 4501 was approaching EB in the left channel and the echoes from the whistle raced back from right to left. Eerie!!! What kind of whistle is it?

Eerie!!! What kind of > whistle is it? The whistle she was retired and went to the K&T with. Cast at the Southern Rwy foundry at Lenoir City, TN and machined at Princeton, IN. Nice-looking long train, to, and with a proper obs -- round-end, too, at the end. Nice! Glad ya got the people in your video, as PEOPLE are why these beautiful and very impressive engines run in the first placce.
