Steam & Excursion > 844 a year ago today in Omaha

A bunch of us gathered along Bob Boozer Drive in West Omaha on a very humid afternoon a year ago today to watch 844 steam into town to go on display near the Ameritrade Stadium for the annual College World Series. I haven’t heard anything about any railroad equipment being displayed this year. (The blonde in the foreground is my wife, Pat.)

UP 1943 is the display engine this year, went from the Council Bluffs Heritage Shops to Home Plate in Omaha this morning.

Any passenger equipment come with it?

I think we counted 18-21 cars (including the power cars and the "beverage" Bulk-tainer car. Nice looking train.

It wasn't the road number error that prompted my "WHAT?????" post, but the unbelievable grammar, or whatever the hell he was trying to say.
