Steam & Excursion > A fond look back at last summerDate: 06/17/18 16:25 A fond look back at last summer Author: Copy19 My wife and I rode the Durango & Silverton last July. Watching the morning line-up at the Durango depot was quite a show. My wife got a kick out of the young skinny fireman who was busily shoveling coal while a big, burly engineer finally showed up and took the throne. A railroad employee advised us to step back when the train started to avoid the cinder shower. It reminded me of UP Challenger 3985 before they turned the beast into a gentleman.

And very well put: "It reminded me of UP Challenger 3985 before they turned the beast into a gentleman." Date: 06/18/18 07:44 Re: A fond look back at last summer Author: up3985 Still a beast, just a tamed one.
