It is amazing how clean the yard is. Someone worked hard to keep the area neat. Bob Date: 07/16/18 19:30 Re: T&P steam into Texarkana Author: JimBaker Are those "Blue Flags" on the yard leads there?
Could that be the RIP track? James R.(Jim) Baker Whittier, CA Date: 07/16/18 20:19 Re: T&P steam into Texarkana Author: santafe199 WrongWayMurphy Wrote: > ... the track coming in on the right is ...
Isn't that KCS' access to the station? Or did they have a separate stop. My Paternal Grandmother rode the Southern Belle numerous times between Kansas City & Texarkana in the 50s & 60s. And I always thought she went into the main terminal. You've got me wondering... Lance/199 Date: 07/17/18 08:58 Re: T&P steam into Texarkana Author: tomstp WWM, yes it is the T&P T C division (trancontinental) to Sherman, Whitesboro, and then Ft Worth.
Can not answer the KCS question. But KCS did cross the T&P TC track so maybe there was a connection there. Date: 07/17/18 09:07 Re: T&P steam into Texarkana Author: tomstp Could be blue flags. Those are not rip tracks.
