Klondike Kate 4 poked out of former Denver, South Park & Pacific Railway stone roundhouse for first weekend steam up in 2018! Jefferson Fire District curtailed South Park Rail Society wood burning Klondike Kate to only a few hours on 30 June 2018 account dry and windy conditions in the South Park area. South Park Rail Society operated excursions for the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club 30 June 2018. Jefferson Fire District had two firefighting trucks on location during the steam operations. Fire call occurred in the afternoon and Klondike Kate wrapped up operations early at 2:00 PM. 1 July 2018 runs were cancelled. Weston Wildfire could be seen about 15-miles to the south west of Como, CO, billowing large smoke. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/18/18 04:01 by cozephyr.
