Day 3 August 2018 Engineer / Fireman School. Very unusual it was not to windy to fly at Apache Crossing.

Looks like the students are doing a good job, and "Ghost Riders in the Sky" to boot.  Thanks, Roger.

Does the Engineer / Fireman School use the loop at Osier to turn the train or do they go to the Big Horn wye or all the way to Antonito?

The last two schools they turned at Osier and then back to Chama. They got out of the way of the passenger train at Los Pinos.

What a treat for the passengers to see an operating freight train (though empty) on the historic line.  I'm sure there were lots of photographs taken for passengers to show family and friends when they return home and hopefully convince them to visit the C&TS.

The students and the passengers both seem to enjoy the train meet.

I.'m guessing that the 'lower' road at the start is the "Old Road" with the new one above it.    Looks like newish earth works to me.            Great film Rodger  thanks for posting.

Amazing video! Wow...technology has certainly allowed for some great footage. Can truly believe it's a scene from any era. Love that the RR is doing this. Can't wait to get back to visit.
