Frisco 1522

This is about a minute and a half of video of one of my favortite steam engines.  844 and 3985 are great but I really like the exhaust on this one.

It was in Lincoln, NE for 2 or 3 days in June, 1995.  This video was shot June 14, 1995.  The first scenes are of the train going through Firth, NE which is south of Lincoln on the St. Joe sub.  The remaining footage is in Lincoln.

Oh ya!  I remember that  #1522 run to Lincoln . I seem to recall someone loaned the 1522 group their Q whistle for the occasion. What a beautiful sound it made. Reminded me of the Brad Miller recordings of the Q steam fan trips with the #5632 of the late 1950's and early 1960's in "Sunday Only " , one of the greatest LP albums of steam locomotives ever made.
Thanks you for sharing your video.  --Kelly

I chased, paced and recorded her the day before as she ran to St. Joseph.  Great day!

Is the trackage she is sitting on in Lincoln now gone?

Yes, it's called Canopy Street now and is part of the Haymarket Development.  All of the BNSF track and Amtrak depot has been shifted a couple blocks west.

I would rather hear 1522's regular whistle.
