NKP 765 - The Joliet Rocket

For the second year, Metra and the Fort Wayne Railroad & Historical Society for trips with NKP 765.  The trips ran from Joliet, IL into LaSalle Street Station in Chicago on the former Rock Island.  From Joliet most of the way into Chicago, 765 was able to stretch her legs on the mainline at speeds of 60 MPH or better.  The first three clips follow 765 into the city, and the final shows the ferry move back to 47th Street on Sunday evening.  Enjoy!

Awesome.  Some of the best video work I've seen here!

I can't claim a favorite shot, and the only way number three could scream "Chicago" any louder is if Al Capone were at the throttle.

Actually this was the third year for the 765 on METRA.  2016 - north to Janesville, Wisc on Wisconsin Southern;  June 2017 - JOLIET ROCKET; September 2018 - JOLIET ROCKET.
