I have been wanting to take my son over there to ride the train, but if its diesel powered then all that's left is some scenery. We stayed there a couple times at what was I think the Best Western which overlooked the yards and roundhouse. It was great sitting there with the window open in the evening listening to them putting the trains together and smelling the coal smoke. I'm sure this is quieter, yada yada, but the whole atmosphere looks different here.
Thanks NIMBYS Date: 10/15/18 09:38 Re: "Morning In Durango" Author: dougd have the steamers been abandoned for good or just temporarily?

One K-37 getting changed from coal to oil. Should check out the C&TS RR next year for an all steam experience with a smooth ROW.
