Beautiful! Many thanks for sending. Others might hve more specific location details but these ppear to have been taken during the westbound Montana Rockies by Steam trip in 2002 along and near Lake Pend Oreille. I had the pleasure of riding the exursion eastbound from Sandpoint Idaho to Billings Montana.

I was on the eastbound as well which included some rare mileage on track not used by the NCL or NCHI. A great trip.

Ha! You've come to the right place. I can help you ID these. Yes, they were the October 2002 SP&S 700 trip from Sandpoint, ID to Billings, MT and return. The trip was for Montana Rockies Railtours across MRL.

1) Eastbound at the east switch Trout Creek, MT. Note signal plate 53.5 on the semaphore. Sat Oct 12, 2002
2) Eastbound, peaking through the trees crossing the Thompson River, BR 26. Between Woodlin and Eddy, MT. Sat Oct 12, 2002
3) Eastbound, headend is on Curve 10A, approx. MP 10.3, between Plains and Weeksville, MT. Along the Clark Fork River. Sat Oct 12, 2002
4) Eastbound, near MP 147, west of Nine Mile, MT. You are standing on the shoulder of I-90 looking across the Clark Fork. Sat Oct 12, 2002
5) Same location as Photo 4, just more broadside. Sat Oct 12, 2002
6) The following weekend, westbound crossing BR 92, Between Colby, ID and Clark Fork, ID. Sunday Oct 20, 2002

For andersonb109, yes, the eastbound trip ran via St. Regis, MT, the non-NCL route.
