Looks like you had a great time chasing this train. It's always a hard decision weather to chase or ride particularly if rare mileage is involved. While I had a great time on board in Dome Class, your great photos make me jealous and are much appreciated.

Still more great photos, Haruo.  Here's what I think regarding locations and dates.

19.  Westbound east of Garrison, Montana  October 19, 2002
20.  Eastbound between Springdale and Big Timber, Montana.  Crazy Mountains in background  October 14, 2002
21.  Eastbound east of Columbus, Montana  October 14, 2002 - Thanks, Monaddave
22.  Westbound t Jens, west of Garrison, Montana  October 19, 2002- Thanks again, Monaddave
23.  Eastbound at West End, Montana  October 14, 2002
24.  Eastbound at Chestnut, MT (East of the Trail Creek Road exit from I-90).  October 14, 2002  I’m one of the people standing along Trail Creek Road in the upper left quarter of the photo.  I've attached a photo I took at that location.

Man, oh man.... (I'll do a quick review this morning and update with dates later)

19) Appears to be westbound on the curve west of Bradley. River is the Little Blackfoot and mountains in the distance are the Pintlers.
20) Eastbound east of Livingston. Crazy Mtns in background.
21) Fire break jeep trail is original RofW. Hey, I might have to go with eastbound east of Columbus as mentioned by WoodwardEJ.
EDIT 21) -Google street view <1509 Old U.S. 10 Columbus MT> without the brackets. The buttes above the train in the distance match up. And down on aerial view shows the jeep/ old RofW trail.
22) Westbound Jens, MT. West of Garrison.
23) Eastbound West End, MT. Third day of the EB leg. I-90 in background.
24) Eastbound between Bozeman and West End. Location is west of photo #23.

Ha, and I see Mr. Woodward has chimed in, with dates. Wonderful!
