Morning switching at Sumpter

Low sun and lots of steam certainly can make a scene interesting.  This was the Sunday morning beginning of the the second day of the Sumpter Valley fall color special.

Another great photo, John.  What was the temperature that morning?  Sumpter Valley is quite an experience.  Love the reflecting pools.

Jim, you are always quick and generous with your praise.  I seem to remember it was in the mid to high 30's before sunrise, and then warmed up quickly to the high 50's.  In my old age I'm getting more sensitive to the cold.

19 degrees leaving the hotel room - so happy to know the next round of
charters at Portland (4449) and Oregon Coast Scenic would be much
warmer!
