So, at least one person was challenged by my crummy post ... 

With Michael's permission, here are a couple of photos he took on 11/24. He's just a bit better than me.

(I'm still looking for some other Portlander's to post   :)   )

1)  under Forrest's direction, the '49 eases down toward the Holiday Express trainset after taking on water over the lunch break.  We can't quite get through two days with one tender-full.
2) the 2:00 PM train is near the end of the long-ish straight-away, coming into The Oaks station. Back in interurban days this was where the Oregon City trains stopped to drop the revelers for Oaks Amusement Park (which is still in operation today, but without rail service except on Saturdays)

How far does that trackage go that the 4449 runs on?

Its about 3 or 3.5 miles, one way. Arrows on the attached Open Street Map show the north and south ends of the run.
