Steam & Excursion > Steam on MauiDate: 12/10/18 01:38 Steam on Maui Author: cascade1112 Maui's Lahaina, Kaanapali & Pacific (the Sugar Cane Train) is now operating the seasonal Holiday Express trains twice nightly through New Year's Eve, from Puukolii Station to a point north of the big trestle. There is no Lahaina service. Maui News photos show 2-4-0 "Anaka" in service, and note the 2-4-0 "Myrtle" has been restored to operation following an FRA inspection in October. The owners hope to resume regular operations in May. got washed out in Ricky Ricardo's Bridge Across the Pacific scheme. Out Date: 12/10/18 19:47 Re: Steam on Maui Author: fbe It is a nice ride. If you can get permission to walk in a short distance on a golf course near the west end of the line there is a nice timber trestle without any auto traffic in the way. Works both ways.
